Cathy’s experience spans all healthcare settings including acute care, long-term care, sub-acute care, LTACH’s, and home health agencies. She is highly sought after for her expertise in both inpatient and outpatient wound care departments.

Cathy founded and sold Wound Care Strategies, Inc., a healthcare software company that sold SaaS (TPS™ EMR) and DAaaS products to the professional wound care industry as well as a clinical consulting division focused on process improvement and enhancing [institutional] financial performance.

Well regarded for her strategic consulting experiences, Cathy’s lauded for her work to drive the design, development and implementation of new wound care departments, reorganize departments in transition, and her ability to custom design solution-oriented clinical and operational training (workflows, process management, EMR integration, and more).

Her book, Clinical Guide to Skin and Wound Care is now in its seventh edition.

Cathy is the author of 100+ journal articles and is a sought after national and international speaker. She serves as an Editorial Advisory Board Member and Contributing Author for Advances in Skin & Wound Care, where she writes a monthly Practice Points column. She is a past Board Member for the Wound, Continence, and Ostomy Certification Board, and served as an expert witness for the Office of the Inspector General.

She is currently the Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer at Net Health Services (Pittsburgh, Penn.) where she directs all clinical and professional services work.
